| 2008 2008 Contestants:
Suzanne Lightcap is the daughter of Steve and Bridgette Lightcap of Linfield. In the fall, she will be a senior at Western Center for Technical Studies where she is studying Health Occupations and plans to become a Medical Assistant. She plans to use her certification as a Medical Assistant to help put herself through college to eventually become a large animal veterinarian. In school, Suzanne is a member of the Key Club, HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) and a Student Ambassador for the Spring-Ford High School People to People Program. Suzanne is a Girl Scout for the past thirteen years receiving the Bronze and Silver Awards and working toward her Gold Award. She lists her hobbies as pleasure
horseback riding and equestrian competition in jumping. She also enjoys
recreational volleyball, reading, drawing, hanging out with her
friends and family and going to the mountains. Suzanne has been an exhibitor at the Kimberton
Fair and her artwork was featured on the cover of the Exhibitor Handbook.
Rachel
Bearoff is the daughter of Eugene and Linda Kirkner of Kimberton.
In the fall she will be a sophmore at Penn State - Berks Campus.
Rachel is majoring in animal sciences. Rachel is a member of the Montgomery 4-H Livestock club for the past five years where she has held the position of Vice-President and President. Rachel was a member of AALAS (American Association for Laboratory Animal Science) for four years. She has volunteered with her church make and serve dinner for people in Philadelphia with AIDs. Rachel lists working with small and large animals, pet sitting and hanging with friends as her hobbies.
Penny
Sinquett
is the daughter of Christine and
Carroll Sinquett of Malvern. She
is currently a freshman at Penn Foster Career School and a 2007 graduate of the Center for Arts and Technology – Pickering Campus.
Penny would like to be a part of While in high school, Penny was currently involved in HOSA, Skills USA, the 4-H Livestock club, and Project Grass. She was also a member of AALAS (American Association for Laboratory Animal Science), the National Technical Honors and the National Honor Roll. At school she was involved with Technician’s Day and is a Student Ambassador. Penny
volunteers with the Special Olympics, is a participant in the area’s Relay for Life.
Penny enjoys farming, showing and working with a variety of animals.
She also likes camping, babysitting and helping others.
